Arch Anywhere wont boot on i686

Hi,
I downloaded the latest iso (2.2.7) and wrote it to a USB drive on Windows 10 using Linux Live USB Creator.
When I try booting on my old MSI Wind U100(i686) the bootloader starts but when I select Boot Arch Linux (x86_64) it says that the image requires a x86 processor and I only have an i686.
I thought arch anywhere supports i686?

Re: Arch Anywhere wont boot on i686

Hi, I'm having the same problem.  Downloaded 2.2.7 and wrote it to USB on Antergos (64 bit machine) using Imagewriter.  When booting on an older Acer Aspire 5738z machine I am not getting the option for i686.  Only the 64 bit.

@Gaspetaahl

Arch Linux drop support for i686, and Arch Anywhere script use Arch Linux ISO.

https://www.archlinux.org/news/phasing- … 6-support/

You can try to install manualy with ISO from january/february or to chose another distro for you notebook.

LE. Or try this ISO I made....latest Arch Anywhere script and arch linux ISO from february

Codename: arch-anywhere-2.2.8-dual.iso smile

md5sum:

f075c6b00ce405362a5445d67e37722e

sha1sum:

b64c6607dfc83bbd6e31cb1c2eefd9980362b73c

Or 2.2.5

@daj63
You CPU support 64bit, you can buy a cheap RAM to upgrade to 4GB, or if you have 3GB RAM x86_64 should run without problems.

Re: Arch Anywhere wont boot on i686

Anybody here? Please help me. I got the same problem but the links are dead. I have downloaded the newest ISO on your website but when booting, the system said that not supported 32bit.

Can you pleasure send me an available link for 32bit?

Thanks in advance.
